Antonio Ciarlo joins as postdoc the Soft Matter Lab

Antonio Ciarlo joined as postdoc the Soft Matter Lab on 18th July 2023.

Antonio has a PhD degree in Physics from the University of University of Naples, Italy.

During his postdoc, Antonio will continue his work on the modelling and the analysis of the data of his experiments with intracavity optical trapping.

Emir Erdem joins the Soft Matter Lab

Emir Erdem joined the Soft Matter Lab on June 17, 2023.

Emir is an undergraduate student at the Mechanical Engineering Department of Bilkent University in Ankara, Turkey.

During his time at the Soft Matter Lab, he will be working on the modeling of red blood cells with geometrical optics.

He is supported by an Erasmus Traineeship scholarship. He will stay in our lab till September 13, 2023.

Sergi Masò Orriols joins the Soft Matter Lab

Sergi Masò Orriols joined the Soft Matter Lab on 23rd January 2023.

Sergi is a PhD student at the Biomedicine Department of the University of Vic, Cataluña, Spain.

During his time at the Soft Matter Lab, he will be working on a biophysical application of deep learning.

He will stay in our lab till 2 June 2023.

Christian Rutgersson joins the Soft Matter Lab

Alfred Bergsten joined the Soft Matter Lab on 17 January 2023.

Christian is a master student in Complex Adaptive Systems at Chalmers University of Technology.

During his time at the Soft Matter Lab, he will study the characterization of active matter particle systems with graph neural networks.

Alfred Bergsten joins the Soft Matter Lab

Alfred Bergsten joined the Soft Matter Lab on 17 January 2023.

Alfred is a master student in Complex Adaptive Systems at Chalmers University of Technology.

During his time at the Soft Matter Lab, he will study the self-assembly of colloids in the presence of travelling waves.

Vide Ramsten joins the Soft Matter Lab

Vide Ramsten started his PhD at the Physics Department of the University of Gothenburg on the 3rd of October 2022.

Vide has a double master degree in System, control and mechatronics from Chalmers University of Technology and Engineering Cybernetics from the University of Stuttgart.

In his PhD, Vide will focus his research on the development of and experimental testing with swarm robotics.

Hang Zhao joins the Soft Matter Lab

Hang Zhao starts his Ph.D. at the Physics Department of the University of Gothenburg on 5th, September 2022.

Hang has a Master’s degree in Biomedical Engineering from Linköping University, where he focused on machine learning and medical image processing.

In his PhD, he will focus on machine learning, graph theory, and neuroscience.

Gideon Jägenstedt joins the Soft Matter Lab

Gideon Jägenstedt joined the Soft Matter Lab on 29 August 2022.

Gideon is a Master student in the Complex Adaptive Systems at Chalmers University of Technology.

During his time at the Soft Matter Lab, he will work on his Master thesis project on particle representation and graph neural networks.
