The goal of COST Action MP1305 is to stimulate the interaction between the different scientific communities working on Flowing Matter: complex fluids (suspensions, granular materials, glasses, rheology), active matter (biological and synthetic micro-swimmers, bird flocks, insect swarms), and complex flows (turbulence, chaotic flows). This workshop will focus on experimental aspects of all three themes, and will foster the exchange of ideas and support new collaborations between different communities.

Transportation

  • To/from Ramada Plaza and the conference place: transportation will be provided for free by the hotel.
  • To/from Workinn Hotel and the conference place: transportation will be provided for free by the hotel.
  • To/from Şeker Pınarı Hotel and the conference place: transportation will be self-organised:
    the participants staying at Şeker Pınarı Hotel will gather in the reception hall at 8:10, groups will be formed
    and each group will proceed by taxi.

Welcome Reception

A welcome reception will be held on Wednesday (13 April) evening, at SUNUM, before dinner.

Conference Dinner

The conference dinner will be held on Friday (15 April) evening at Dodo Marin Balık restaurant.
We will leave from the university at 19:00.

Social Program

A tour of the Bosphorus will be organized on Saturday 16 for the interested participants.

    1. from the airport to Taksim via bus (IETT bus (96T) or HAVAS shuttle,
      available in front of the terminal exit),
    2. and then from Taksim to Sabanci University Campus via bus (http://www.sabanciuniv.edu/en/transportation/shuttle-hours)
  • from Airport Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen: the best way is by taxi (it is near Sabanci University, it takes about 15-20 min)
