Antonio Ciarlo joins the Soft Matter Lab

Antonio Ciarlo joined the Soft Matter Lab on 31th January 2022.

Antonio is a PhD student at the Physics Department of the University of Naples, Italy.

He will be working on the modelling and the analysis of the data of his experiments with intracavity optical trapping.

He will stay in our lab for six months.

Yanuar Rizki Pahlevi joins the Soft Matter Lab

Yanuar Rizki Pahlevi joined the Soft Matter Lab on 18 January 2022.

Yanuar is a master student in Complex Adaptive Systems at Chalmers University of Technology.

During his time at the Soft Matter Lab, he will focus on implementing deep learning techniques to predict delay in Brownian motion with delayed feedback.

Hari Prakash Thanabalan joins the Soft Matter Lab

Hari Prakash Thanabalan starts his PhD at the Physics Department of the University of Gothenburg on 10th January 2022.

Hari Prakash has a Master degree in Advanced Robotics from Queen Mary University of London, United Kingdom.

In his PhD, he will focus on the development of soft robots to study collective emergent behaviours in soft active matter systems.

Mathias Samuelsson joins the Soft Matter Lab

Mathias Samuelsson joined the Soft Matter Lab on 10 January 2022.

Mathias is a master student in Physics at the University of Gothenburg.

During his time at the Soft Matter Lab, he will focus on the simulation of an intracavity optical tweezers with the help of neural networks.

Angelo Barona Balda joins the Soft Matter Lab

Angelo Barona Balda joined the Soft Matter Lab on 10 January 2022.

Angelo is a master student in Complex Adaptive Systems at Chalmers University of Technology.

During his time at the Soft Matter Lab, he will investigate the behaviour of active matter via experiments with toy robots (HEXBUG nano®).

Aykut Argun joins as postdoc the Soft Matter Lab

Aykut Argun starts his postdoc at the Physics Department of the University of Gothenburg on 21st September 2021.

Aykut has a PhD degree in Physics from the University of Gothenburg, Sweden.

During his postdoc, Aykut will continue his work on analysing stochastic trajectories with machine learning as well as experimental active matter systems.

Saga Helgadottir joins as postdoc the Soft Matter Lab

Saga Helgadottir starts her postdoc at the Physics Department of the University of Gothenburg on 1st September 2021.

Saga has a PhD degree in Physics from the University of Gothenburg, Sweden.

During her postdoc, Saga will continue her work on developing tools using deep learning to solve problems in image analysis and medical diagnosis.
